Dear Sir/Ma’am,

I am writing to express my interest in the English Teacher position at your institution. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education Major in English, am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education Major in English Language Education, and have earned certifications in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

Teaching has always been more than a profession for me; it is also a calling, as I believe that “Educating the mind without educating the heart is not education at all.” I hold the view that teaching helps students discover their voice, build confidence, and grow not only in language but also in self-expression. This can be achieved when students feel they belong, are supported, and are heard. What I value most is creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel motivated to try, learn, and succeed.

One of my most fulfilling memories as a teacher was guiding a struggling student who had been left behind in class during her Grade 11 year. When I became her adviser, I observed her closely, supported her, and encouraged her to always give her best. I assured her that I would be there for her every step of the way. By the time she graduated from Grade 12, she ranked 5th in her class and received a Bronze Medal. She expressed her gratitude, and her parents thanked me for never giving up on their daughter. This experience strengthened my belief that students are like flowers that bloom at different times, but with constant care and nourishment, they can flourish to their fullest potential.

Over the past years, I have instructed in different settings, from Senior High School classrooms in the Philippines to online lessons with learners across the world. At Mystical Rose School of Caloocan Inc., I taught specialized subjects such as Creative Writing (Fiction and Non-Fiction), core subjects such as Oral Communication in Context, Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person, Media and Information Literacy, and Personal Development, as well as applied subjects such as English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Inquiries, Investigation and Immersion, and Empowerment Technology

My work with online platforms such as 51Talk English International Ltd., Preply, and Hangzhou ZhiXue WeiLai Technology Co., Ltd. allowed me to engage with learners of diverse ages and backgrounds, conducting lessons that strengthened their fluency, critical thinking, and confidence in using English in real-life situations. These experiences inspired me to pursue teaching beyond the online space, as I realized the value of connecting with learners of different nationalities in person. This has broadened my perspective, enriched my teaching approach, and deepened my passion for education.

While my experience in the field is still developing, my passion for teaching has consistently been my greatest strength. I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to your institution, with a strong commitment to going beyond expectations to ensure that students thrive and achieve meaningful learning outcomes. I am also adaptable and willing to take on any subject where I can best serve the needs of both the learners and the institution.
